Edith Malone

Edith Marie (Allen) Malone was born September 1, 1929, to Earl and Nettie (Topping) Allen in Logan, Iowa. Edith grew up in the Logan area and attended Logan Community School. Edith married Gerald Thomas Malone on May 12, 1971 at the Methodist Church in Blair, Nebraska.
Edith was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dunlap, Iowa and was very devoted to her church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially, Karen Mohn and Dorothy Hein. She also enjoyed taking care of others.

Edith died on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at the Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 15 days.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gerald in 1981; son, James Allen in 2008; three sisters, Audry Allen, Eleanor LaFontaine, Kathryn Renz; brother, Raymond Allen; and brother-in-law, Ray Renz. She is survived by her three step-children, Earl and Glenda Malone, Larry and Lynette Malone, Jerry and Raquel Malone all of Dunlap, Iowa; brother, Carl Allen of Glenwood, Iowa; sister-in-law, Helen Allen of Logan, Iowa; three nieces, two nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
