I worked with Ray for many of the years he was at the Gold Slipper and on one very rare occasion danced with him. It did not matter how
long it had been since you came to the Gold Slipper he always remembered what you drank.

So sorry to hear of Ray's passing. He was one SUPER guy.
I'm afraid he won't be getting many birdies in Heaven. HE USED THEM UP at the Dunlap Golf Club!! Thanks for sharing your life, Ray. We'll never forget ya!!

Ray Nauroth Family -

Ray was a great man, a good friend and lifelong neighbor. Ray and dad's friendship go back to the 1940's. Between Houston's Billiards and the Gold Slipper, they worked together for 30 years. It was cool that Ray and Kenny became great friends and golfing buddies.

It was a true honor to call him friend. It was great fun to be back in Dunlap to celebrate Ray's 100th and 105th birthdays at the Gold Slipper.

We know that

I have many happy memories of Uncle Ray and Aunt Jerrie!! We had lots of great times in Dunlap thanks to our mom, Mary Pat. My fondest memories are of playing in the barn/garage behind Uncle Ray and Aunt Jerrie's house. Also folding napkins at the diner in the corner booth. I like to think he is serving drinks at the 19th hole at the great golf course in heaven! All our love and prayers to the Nauroth Family.

Dear Family,

Please know I will be with you in love and prayer as you celebrate the life of Uncle Ray.

One of my fondest memories of him was that he actually had to get the night off work to attend his own 100th birthday party at the Gold Slipper. I have shared that memory with many people and have always enjoyed their looks of amazement.

And amazing he was, truly a member of the "Greatest Generation".

With sympathy and love,

Kathy O'Connor Ware

Part of me died yesterday when I heard of Ray's passing. He was one of the GREATEST people I have ever had the pleasure to meet and the privilege to call my friend. He will be missed.
